Allergist/Immunologist
Duties and responsibilities:
A physician specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage
allergies and asthma and immunologic disorders including primary
immunodeficiency disorders. These conditions range from the very common to very
rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems.
Salary:
The median is $225,814
Education:
Allergist must complete college or enough science and math
courses to be admitted to medical school. They must then complete four years of
medical school and three years of residency. Some allergists choose to complete
an additional two to three years in a fellowship program for additional training.
Reflection: I would like to be one because I want to help people who have these allergies.
