Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties and responsibilities:

They answer 9-1-1 telephone calls

Determine the type of emergency and its location
·
Decide the appropriate response based on agency
procedures
·
Relay information to the appropriate first
responder agency
·
Coordinate the dispatch of emergency response
personnel to accident scenes
Salary:
They earn around $23,190 to $56,580.
Education:
They need a high school diploma but some states might require
the dispatchers to have a certification. They must also pass a written exam and
a typing test. Sometimes they might need to pass a background check, lie
detector and a drug test. Also test for their hearing and vision. The ability
to speak Spanish is desirable in this occupation. The training requirements
vary by state.
Reflection: It would be a good job to start of at but I don' see myself working as one for a long time.
