Reflection: This quote is saying that I may not be bound to win but that he is bound to be true and follow someone he is of right mind or right heart in all issues be it good or bad.

April Fools Day

April Fool's Day

April Fool's Day is celebrated on April 1 every year it is also called All Fool's Day. The purpose of this holiday is to let people prank each other when the prank is successful the one who pulled the prank usually says "April Fool's". The origins of this holiday are unknown some belief it is a celebration related with the turn of the seasons while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calender.A few pros for April Fool's Day are that a person can express there creativity and let out some stem. The cons to this holiday are that people might get hurt or that some really believes in the prank and thing good bad around the world.

Reflection: This quote is saying that no matter what if you  work hard it will always pay off. An example of this is say you study really hard for a important test and you trust your hard work you it will pay off in the future.

Lawyers 

Duties and Responsibilities: Lawyers advise and represent individuals, businesses, and government agencies on legal and disputes.

Salary: The annual wage for lawyers is $113,530

Education: All lawyers must have a law degree and must also typically pass a state's written bar examination. Becoming a lawyer usually takes 7 years of full-time study after high school-4 years of undergraduate study, followed by a 3 years of law school.

Reflection: I would like to be one so I can help my family out in-case they need a good lawyer that wont cheat them out. Also because of what happened to my father because of a bad lawyer I don't want that happening to any other family.

Reflection: This quote is saying that the only way you can have true freedom is by doing the right. One example is if you follow you're parents rules you may be able to stay out late or have more options on what to do.

St. Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick was the foremost patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick day occurs on the 17th of March because it was the official death of Saint Patrick. The purpose of Saint Patrick's day is to remember St. Patrick himself it also commemorates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. The color green is there because it is said that St. Patrick used a shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.

 

Summary

In Olivet Middle School in Michigan the players of the schools football team had a secret plan that only the players knew not even the coaches knew about the play. There plan was to get as close to the goal line as physically possible without scoring. At that point they brought out a boy by the name of Keith who had a mental disability who was the person to score the touch down. Now Keith has become a popular student in the Middle school.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are so many volunteering options around the area of Los Angles. One example is in the hospital called Cedars-Sinai in which you can help a shape a person to become a new them by helping providing  comfort, assistance and hope. You are also helping out your community. Some requirements are that a volunteer must be at least 18 years of age, they must commit to six months of volunteering which are usually done in one or two 4 hour shifts per week.They must go through a complete background check and influenza vaccination. Volunteers must abide by all patient confidentially guidelines, customer service expectations, and hospital policies.

Reflection: It is important not to cheat because if you get caught you will have to deal with big consequences. Some examples of cheating are copying a persons homework or test paper.  

Oncologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Oncologist are physicians and surgeons who evaluate and treat patients suffering from cancer. As key members of a medical team, they work in conjunction with other doctors, nurses, lab technicians and orderlies who treat patients. Their professional responsibilities include talking with patients about symptoms and examining them for signs of disease. Often coordinating with other physicians, oncologist also request and analyze test results, discuss treatment options and monitor patients progress during therapy.

Salary:  $184,820 yearly salary

Education: Completion of a bachelor's degree program, particular one that includes coursework in the biological and chemical sciences, is the first step in becoming an oncologist. Admission to an accredited school is next, a competitive and selective program that typically requires a passing score on the Medical College Admission Test. The program takes four years to complete and include classroom studies, lab work and supervised clinical or hospital rotations. Additional requirements include 3-8 years of internship and residencies; oncologist must also pass a state licensing exam before they can practice medicine.

Reflection: I would like to work in this career because it seems like a nice career to pick as a job also the pay is somewhat good.

Heliotherapy 

Duties and Responsibilities: Heliotherapy also known as light therapy is the practice of healing a person by using a specific light source. These specific light sources like polarised light, lasers, light emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light. The treatment of skin disorders, chiefly psoriasis, acne vulgaris, eczema and neonatal jaundice.

Reflection: I would not like to be one because there is not a lot known about this job and it kinda creeps me out.

Mitch McKee won that state finals so his dad could forget about his disease even if it was only for a while. So he set out to win the state finals in wrestling even if he was only a freshmen.  His dad had an incurable form of cancer.

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: Health educator teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. 

Salary: $41,830

Education: Entry-level health educator positions require a bachelor's degree in health education or health promotion. These programs teach students theories and methods of health education and help students gain the knowledge and skills they need to develop health education materials and programs. Most programs include internship. Some positions, such as those in the federal government or in state public health agencies, require a master's degree or a doctoral degree.

Reflection: I would like to be one because they seem to have a different lifestyle that may seem interesting. I am also interested in being able to teach people on the subject of health.
