Summary: Showcase Experience

Well at the start of the project I felt nervous because it seemed like a big thing to do in a few weeks but as soon as we hit the ground running everything felt a lot easier than it should have. My group members were Cynthia , Edward , Pedro and me Valentin our groups topic was lung caner. My specific job in the group was to form a counter claim at first I was thinking it was going to be hard but after thinking about clearly it went by in a flash. When we were up in front of the panelist I felt nervous but I had to calm myself down for my group so I did just that. When my turn to talk came up I took one big breath and began and as it happened I only made one mistake. After a minute or so they as me a question which I was ready to answer but while I was talking I felt something in my throat wanting me to stop and crack under the pressure but at the end I just fought threw it.

Reflection: This quote is is trying to say that when a person does good they feel good and when a person does bad they feel bad. When You Tell One Lie it leads to Another

Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lies to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You're in trouble up to your ears!
So you tell four lies to try to protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks won' suspect
you
Then you tell six lies and you'll collect
A life filled with worries and fears
'Cause you can't remember how many lies
you've told
And half the things you say aren't true
And sometimes you;ll slip up, you'll trip up
and then
Whatever will become of you?
So you lie and lie without even trying
And each lie you tell will keep
Multiplying
'Till the whole world will know
you're lying
Then you'll be
Suspected
Detected
Rejected
Neglected
Dislike
And you should!
When you lie, you're closing the door
On everything good

Veterans Day

Before 1954 Veterans Day was known as Armistice Day but President Eisenhower officially changed it. Britain, France, Australia and Canada also commemorate the veterans of World War I and II on or near November 11. Canada has remembrance day while Britain has Remembrance Sunday. Veterans Day started after the end of the World War I. A year after Armistice Day the President decided that on November 11 on the 11th hour there would be a moment of silence to remember the veterans. After The Korean war and World War II Armistice day was opened not only to the veterans of World War I but to all veterans. Each year an unknown solider is buried in also the President or a representative put a reef on the memorial.

Reflection: My thought on veterans day is that it is a good thing that we are remembering those who have protected us from people who are willing to destroy us. In a way I think it is bad because certain families don't want to remember that because it bring back bad memories. My feeling on Veterans Day is that I am neutral because I like that we are remembering heroes but hate it for two reasons one is that war is bad but won't be stopped because every person has a different opinion and the other reason is that certain families are reminded of tragic events.

Reggie Bush

The football player who now plays for the Detroit Lions and former Heisman trophy winner had his Heisman trophy taken away from him because the organization had found out that when he was in his finale year he was taking bribes and other items which is illegal for collage players. The sad thing about this is that his the only Heisman winner to have his trophy taken away from him. The staff at the time also knew about this but said nothing because they did not want to lose an ace player. Also all the wins they had that season where all stripped away from the team of USC they also took away the teams championship trophy.Reggie Bush must have learned his lesson after this incident because it must feel bad to be one of the only winners of the Heisman Trophy to lose the trophy.
